Never got the feeling this was "just Ranier." Meeting all other climbers and interacting with them and of course summitting ! Wish I could have seen the whole team make it to the summit, but it was great to see how we came together to celebrate what we each accomplished. By the end of the 6 day Muir seminar I was 150% committed to do so; both as a client spending money and as a person willing to work through your prerequisites. Seeing the sunrise on the top of Rainier isn't a memory I'll soon forget. I was impressed that the standard route on Rainier still uses very experienced guides who have climbed much bigger and more difficult mountains all over the world. Climbing with someone who has summited Everest. The experience on the mountain was incredible of course but far better with the guides. Ashford, They made the trip one that I will remember forever. Ashford is located 75 miles from the Sea-Tac Airport and most climbers traveling to Ashford will want to rent a car. It made the trip easy and enjoyable. Looking forward to re-attempt again next year! 23-26, Climbing with RMI helped us really focus on the challenge of the climb and not worry too much about weather conditions and things outside of our control. Having zero prior mountaineering experience the day school was extremely helpful in feeling prepared for our climb but most importantly having the time to develop relationships, and most importantly trust, with our guides and teams was crucial. The itinerary was perfect. Learned new skills and did something that I have never done before - successfully made a technical climb. The feeling of accomplishing a goal safely with the people I came with.
