The sandwiches were delightful, but the dessert pastries were a little to rich for our preference. An individual lemon meringue tart, which had raw meringue on top which had been blowtorched for a couple of seconds, just for colouration so the meringue was still raw and very unpleasant to eat. I dont want to write reviews like this (and very rarely do even when Im not happy) but I was incredibly annoyed by what we received and before the hotel ask, no I didnt complain at the time as my wife hates any confrontation in these situations so we left quietly at the end without causing a fuss. We mentioned how we had had to postpone our visit to London for our wedding anniversary due to COVID three years ago but had now found a window of time to visit. The hummus, beetroot and goats cheese on potato bun was yum and I loved the salt beef, horseradish mayonnaise and pickled cucumber on a mini bagel.
